Hello as you can see from my name I totally love anything do with craft and of course colour PINK!!
Even since I was little girl I have always crafted in some sort of way, it started with doodle sketch pad, crayons and pens.. spending hours upon hours just colouring and doodling and just being creative.
From there I found card and papercraft ( or did card and papercrafting find me!!) and have been addicted ever since and just love being creative.
I got into cardmaking because I needed something I could do to relax and just escape for a while due to my health problems . When I find myself at my craft desk the hours can go by so quickly and when I look at the clock and its tea time.. I often say to myself "where did that day go"..but that's what is so amazing about this craft it allows you to escape for while and stops you thinking about life's problems.
I love to showcase my creations on my blog and Facebook to inspire others in their crafting life!! Inspiration is what inspires lots of people to start crafting and catch the bug..for that I think is so wonderful to be able to help others find something I know they will treasure for many years to come.
I can't say I have one particular style as I love so many styles and love to give most try when I can, I have always loved Carley Duff's style, something different, fresh and of course quirky!!
Last August I was lucky enough (so proud) to join Cameo with Carley Design team, creating samples for the shows on Create and Craft. Carley is amazing talented and kind person with fabulous personality and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for giving me this wonderful opportunity to be apart of her amazing team. Only recently I was invited to join the CREATA with Carley Design Team and feel extremely proud to of been asked and join such well known hard working team.
The CREATA team is such friendly bunch and we love to create something that bit different and of course quirky.
Tracy Welham
Like a lot of crafters I have
been creating from a very young age, I remember my first cross stitch and appliqué
pieces at primary school, I dare say my mum still has them as keepsakes! Another early childhood memory is regular
visits to a pattern shop, I would happily sit for hours looking at all the
beautiful possibilities.
Crafting first took hold of me
through cross stitch and my first large cross stitch was for my boyfriend (my
now husband - I don't think the cross stitch had anything to do with his
decision to marry me!) when I was 16. Over
the years I have built up a huge stash of kits, and I'm still working my way
through them! I started papercrafting
about 15 years ago when I purchased my first stamping kit (big wooden stamps
and ink pads that dried up in weeks!).
My crafting took a back seat whilst
my hubby and I were running a pub in small village near Coventry, by this time
I had accumulated quite a large amount of crafting goodies but with no time to
craft it sat nestled away in boxes.
About a year or so later we moved
to Somerset where I was inspired to get back into my paper crafting and
stitching making all my own birthday and Yule cards. After a year of living amongst the beautiful
Mendip Hills and only 10 minutes from Glastonbury
my husband's job saw us moving back to Suffolk . This is really when my crafting became a
passion, my stash grew to astronomical proportions and I started taking orders
for cards and other bespoke items.
I can't remember exactly when I
started watching Carley Duff on C&C but I know I was hooked on the
products, every week I bought more and more Creata items and was so pleased
with the quality and the uniqueness of their products. Of course, as everyone knows Carley has a
happy go lucky attitude and regularly brings sunshine to our tv screens. 2013 was a difficult year for me with a
serious health problem but one of the many things that kept me going was
watching Carley and purchasing my Creata stash, know that when I was fit and
well again I would have lots of lovely goodies to start creating with again.
I was lucky enough not only to
meet up with Carley at the NEC but also to share a crafty morning with her
together with Michelle (mad DT) and Stephen Nicholls.
When I'm not crafting (or
working) I enjoy taking walks with my husband and our Newfoundland dog, Fergus. I also love writing (I have been published a
few times), photography, baking, flower arranging (having won awards for both),
reading, blogging, sewing, camping and spiritual learning. I never go anywhere without a notebook
because you never know when inspiration will strike!
